New Balance has unveiled Bukayo Saka’s latest signature boots, inspired by the Arsenal and England player’s affinity to the number seven.

The Gunners’ starboy joined the North London club at seven years old and made his professional debut at 17. Since playing for Arsenal, Saka’s worn the numbers 87, 77 and now the iconic No.7 jersey belongs to him. No matter what way you look at it, the number seven has played a huge role in Saka’s football career, a red thread New Balance have now carried through with their latest ‘Seven Edition’ drop.

The reimagined Furon v7s are the seventh iteration of the popular New Balance silhouette, arriving in an all white base with the New Balance logo appearing in red to stand out against the clean colourway.

The No. 7 appears in different fonts and designs alongside the baller’s initials. And scattered between the numbers and letters are words and symbols synonymous with Saka’s character and playing style: Hope, Faith, Charity plus a lightning bolt. The soleplate is translucent but also showcases a large number seven printed in red.

The boots feature offset lacing for an increased strike zone, and a Hypoknit upper for added stretch and support. The unique stud configuration allows for dynamic movement on and off the ball.

The ‘Seven Edition’ boots are available to purchase on the New Balance website and select retailers.
