Jacket Required has teamed up with football fanatic and sneaker obsessive Neal Heard for an exhibit of the most visually inspiring and culturally resonant vintage football shirts of all time, in a showcase that moves between the lines of history, design and pop culture.

More than 150 vintage football shirts – some infamous, others obscure – adorned the walls of the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane for a two-day exhibition (26th and 27th July) that's free to the public. As author of 'A Lover's Guide to Football Shirts', Neal Heard is well placed to tell the story of how the art seen in football shirts mirrors changes in politics, design and pop culture throughout history.

This is the ultimate visual take on how football has – and continues to – influence generations of game changers and creators, on and off the pitch.

The Art of the Football Shirt is at The Old Truman Brewery on 26th and 27th July.
