Paulie Malignaggi is determined to get in the ring with Conor McGregor.

The retired former two-weight world champion has said that negotiations are underway between his representatives and UFC president Dana White for a fight that would see Conor step inside the boxing ring for a second time.

Malignaggi served as a sparring partner for the Dubliner in the run up to Mayweather-McGregor, but their relationship quickly turned sour when video was released showing Malignaggi being 'knocked down' by Conor.

Malignaggi believes fighting him is McGregor's best option right now:

"I know Al Haymon's talking to Dana White. If they want the fight, they'll make it...the only way it doesn't happen if this guy doesn't have any balls.

his fight will pay him more, this fight will get him more exposure - this fight is a bigger fight than anything else he has. There's no more Mayweather fight, this is the biggest fight there is."

It's believed that Conor's next move will actually be a return to UFC where he'll defend his UFC lightweight title for the first time against interm champion, Tony Ferguson.

Paulie might have to wait for his payday.
