Stormzy and J Hus Lead the Way in This Year's MOBO Award Nominations

With just over a month to go, until this year's MOBO Awards in Leeds, nominations have been revealed with Stormzy leading the pack, picking up a five nominations for Best Male, Best Grime Act, Best Album for 'Gang Signs & Prayer', Best Song and Best Video for ‘Big For Your Boots’.

Just behind Stormzy comes J Hus who scores four nominations, and the pair will go toe-to-toe in the Best Male, Album and Song categories

Last month, both were beaten to the Mercury Music Prize by Sampha and he continued his great year with nominations for best Male, Album and R&B/Soul.

Female newcomers Jorja Smith and Stefflon Don were rightfully rewarded for their impressive breakthroughs with three nominations each.
