Two of London's most popular music festivals have announced plans to relocate and head south next year.

Lovebox and Citadel will end their thirteen year tenancy in east London's Victoria Park, making the move to south London's Brockwell Park.

In truth, the news is a move that always appeared on the cards following the emergence of new festival All Points East and the news they'd secured an exclusive deal to host summer events in Victoria Park.

Jools Butterfield, founder of Lovebox, said: "Lovebox is a London institution and right now there is nowhere more exciting for us to be than woven into the rich cultural and musical tapestry of Brixton and its surrounds.  Come with us as we unleash a new twist in the everlasting Lovebox story."

There's no information on line-up at present but following a stellar Lovebox/Citadel programme in 2017 that included Frank Ocean, Kano, Bonobo and Sampha, they'll no doubt be arriving at the south of the river with a bang later next year.

Lovebox 2018 will be on Friday and Saturday 13th to 14th July, with Early Bird tickets available now.

Citadel will be held on 15th July, with tickets available soon.
