Epic Games are bringing Fortnite to a new level.
The popular battle royale video game is developing its competitive edge by now offering players digital cash prizes for their performance across 50 games in a new limited time mode.
“Solo Showdown” will see players compete against each other (until the 21st May) to determine who in the community really has pro skills, and in-game currency ‘V-Bucks’ are up for grabs for the best of the lot.
Here’s how the prizes scale
1st Place after 50 matches: 50,000 V-Bucks
2nd – 4th Place: 25,000 V-Bucks
5th – 50th Place: 13,500 V-Bucks
51st – 100th Place: 7,500 V-Bucks
Scoring is decided by your placing in each of the 50 games, with 1st place picking up 100 points, a 10th place finish giving you 60 points, and 76-100 offering a lowly 25 points.
The new Solo Showdown LTM is now live! Challenge yourself against other competitors for a chance at in-game rewards.
