Germany have just announced their squad for their upcoming Nations League opener versus France and friendly against Peru, and it's got plenty of new additions and changes from their World Cup team.

Leroy Sane returns to the side following his infamous World Cup exodus, and there's notably no Mesut Ozil in the set up for the first time in a minute following his much-discussed retirement from the national team. Check out the full list below.

Kehrer Thilo, Nico Schulz and Kai Havertz all feature in the 23-man squad for the first time, while Phillip Max and Serge Gnabry don't quite make the cut despite their solid domestic campaigns last season.
