Jadon Sancho has just been handed a surprising yet richly-deserved England call-up.

The 18-year-old wonderkid was expected to be called up to Aidy Boothroyd's Under-21 side for the first time, but has now made the cut for Gareth Southgate's squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.

Sancho has changed the game since moving to Borussia Dortmund last year, notching yet another assist last night having played just 317 minutes in all competitions for the German side. He's now recorded eight assists and one goal in all competitions for BVB so far this campaign in what is shaping up to be Sancho's breakthrough season.

He makes up a part of a new look England squad which also features Mason Mount, James Maddison and a recall for Ross Barkley as part of Southgate's side, with the England manager also announcing he's extending his contract til 2022 with the Three Lions.
