Lyon have reached an agreement with Angers over the transfer of former Arsenal baller and France U21 international Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

Making a move worth a reported £23 million, the Gunners also have first refusal on the midfielder – but are unlikely to resign the Frenchman after their high-profile activity in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old left north London last summer for just £1.4m, but has gone on to ball out ever since, featuring in 35 of Angers' 38 Ligue 1 matches in 2018-19. He started the 2019/20 campaign in fine form, becoming the WhoScored? Player of the Week in Ligue 1.

After Lyon sold Tanguy Ndombele to Spurs earlier in the window, are looking for a replacement in midfield. Reine-Adelaide is now set to be that man, and looks set to slot straight into the Lyon line-up under Brazilian manager Sylvinho.

In other young baller news, 20-year-old Arsenal loanee Eddie Nketiah just bagged in his first game for Leeds United.
