VERSUS linked up with Football Beyond Borders to deliver a creative writing masterclass in Instagram captions for Year 8 and Year 9 students who are learning remotely during lockdown.

As part of FBB’s “My Idol & I” programme, which inspires young people by asking them to explore and identify with the journeys of the ballers they most admire, we tasked a group of students between the ages of 12 and 14 to write a tribute to their idols in traditional VERSUS style – with the best caps being posted to our IG channel, platforming their work to 100k people.⁣FBB supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are passionate about football but disengaged at school in order to help them finish school with the skills and grades to make a successful transition into adulthood. The deliver educational programmes based around their biggest passions, with football playing a huge part in that.

Congratulations to all the students who took part in the workshop, and to Arsh, Mathieu, and Jean for making the top three. Young ballers.⁣
