Vision In Motion Sporting Club just staged their first ever showcase tournament for young ballers, with the support of VERSUS and TaP Sports.

The academy was founded in 2020 by Samuel Boadu alongside Emmanuel and Josef Danso with the aim of developing future leaders of the community whilst using football as a vehicle for change.

Within two years, VIM SC has granted opportunities to over twenty players providing them with housing, food, facilities to train and access to education.

The Danso brothers are the older siblings of Austrian and RC Lens defender Kevin Danso and are all too aware of the importance of education for footballers, alongside the need for the opportunity to showcase what they can do.

Despite a global pandemic, VIM SC managed to orchestrate a showcase tournament featuring six teams from across Ghana, who were given the chance to compete in the presence of European scouts from professional clubs in France and Austria. The three day tournament held in Accra saw 20 of VIM SC's own players grace the stage, with some visiting the capital for the first time in their lives.

VIM SC’s vision and view of football are closely aligned with how VERSUS sees the game, which means it was a no brainer to support this tournament as official shirt sponsor.

The inaugural showcase tournament saw the hosts, VIM SC, become the first ever winners after a series of entertaining games with a lot of young talent on show.

With the first showcase tournament in the bag, the ambition is to grow further and grant more opportunities to more players. The next iteration of the tournament is already in planning with hopes that teams from other countries will join the action.

Vim as a term stands for energy and enthusiasm. That is exactly what VIM SC are installing into these young ballers and will be how they are moving for the foreseeable future.
