adidas has released a new OCEAUNZ Official Match Ball design for the last matches of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, inspired by the city hosting the tournament’s grand finale, Sydney, Australia.
The updated design features the same curving pattern as the original used in the earlier stages of the tournament, but a new colourway sets this ball apart. Gradient shades of orange and gold allude to Sydney’s skyline at sunset, as well as the colour of the coveted trophy that will be lifted at the end of the month.
One percent of the ball’s net sales will go towards Common Goal’s ‘Equal Play Effect’ – a collective project to increase girls’ participation, representation and leadership in the grassroots game, and ensure that every girl has a woman athlete role model in their community.
The Final Official Match Ball is available to purchase on the adidas website and select retailers.
