Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host both the men’s and women’s teams’ final home league matches of the season on May 20, in a first ever double-header for the club.

The final home fixture against Reading Women was initially meant to be played on May 21 at Brisbane Road, but has since been rescheduled to directly follow Spurs’ final Premier League match of the season against Brentford.

All tickets to the Premier League match will now include the WSL match, allowing ticket holders to enjoy a day of back-to-back football as well as ensuring a full house as both teams close out the season. For Tottenham Women, the match is a crucial one as they fight to stay in the top flight, and a packed stadium of supporters will surely make a difference.

This is a bold move by Spurs. The news comes just weeks after it was reported that Daniel Levy was pushing for promotion and relegation to be scrapped in the WSL, in order to give him and other Premier League chairman more financial security with which they can invest in women's football. Arsenal have previously spoken about the possibility of introducing Premier League x WSL double headers at the Emirates but have yet to make the leap.

Further ticketing information for the final WSL match, including how Tottenham Women season ticket holders can secure their tickets, will be communicated by the club in due course.
