Stormzy has just announced that he will help fund two black British students to go to the University of Cambridge in 2018 as part of a new 'Stormzy Scholarship' programme.

The scholarship will pay for tuition fees alongside provide a maintenance grant for up to four years of an undergraduate course.

Speaking about the scheme, Stormzy said, "It's so important for black students, especially, to be aware that it can 100% be an option to attend a university of this calibre."

Cambridge has been under fire recently for not admitting enough black students, with The Financial Times revealing that some Cambridge colleges didn't take in any black students from 2012 to 2016

Big Mike has also pledged to help two more black students in 2019, saying "We're a minority, the playing ground isn't level for us and it's vital that all potential students are given the same opportunity."

It's another integral initiative from the Croydon MC, who has recently launched his own publishing company - #Merky Books - as well donating £9,000 for an Oxford student's crowdfunder for her to attend Harvard in the US.
