Chelsea Football Club Women will be getting their very own behind-the-scenes documentary that will follow their journey throughout 2019/20 season and some of the players’ journey to the FIFA Women’s World Cup this year.

The documentary will be titled 'Flying High' and is set to be produced by acclaimed documentary makers Fulwell 73, who have delivered documentaries like Netflix’s 'Sunderland ‘Til I Die' and 'Class of ’92'.

After going through a season where Chelsea came close to silverware in front of record attendances at the Women's FA Cup Final, the upcoming season will see Chelsea compete for the top prizes once again with their world class array of payers.

The documentary will tell the powerful human stories of a group of women defining the sport as it is known today, following the likes of manager Emma Hayes, Fran Kirby, Millie Bright, Ji So-Yun, and captain Karen Carney MBE around the world and their experiences pre-season in their home countries.

Emma Hayes, Manager of Chelsea Football Club Women, said: “This is an exciting time for women’s football in this country and this documentary will further highlight the strides being made in the game and showcase the professional standards demanded for elite-level women’s football. I know how hard my players and staff work, the sacrifices they make, and the desire they have to achieve their dreams, and by allowing cameras to capture our every move, others will get to appreciate it too.”

In other sport documentary news, Anthony Joshua will star in a new Meek Mill and Jay Z-produced DAZN documentary ’40 Days’.
