Nike and Barcelona have launched their new home kit for 2023-24, once again featuring the club’s iconic blue and red stripes, as well as a subtle reference to the Blaugrana’s history in the women’s game.

Inspired by Barcelona’s first women’s supporters’ club – who played the first women’s football match at Camp Nou in 1970 – the badge includes a diamond as a nod to the pioneers who wore one similar five decades ago.

The supporters’ club created Barça’s first women’s football team in 1988, and FC Barcelona Femení was officially recognised by the club in 2002, this shirt is a nod to those who helped to lay the foundations of one of the greatest team’s in the history of the women’s game.

The kit features a jacquard woven base, whilst the large, colour-blocked stripes – a feature now synonymous with the club – are completed by serrated edges. On the back of the shirt’s collar the colours of the Catalonian flag can also be found, another touch of Catalan class.

The kit is available to purchase on the Nike website and Barcelona’s online store.
