Headie One and Fred Again have unleashed their highly-anticipated joint mixtape, ‘GANG’, and this One’s sounding different.
After teasing the tape for months, the project was finally announced earlier this week before Headie was released from prison yesterday. With three of the UK’s most revered artists in FKA Twigs, Sampha and Jamie XX in the mix with the Tottenham MC and Fred Again, the project was always going to see the OFB don switch it up sonically.
The results are slick, with Headie’s augmented vocals and spectral auto-tuning arriving alongside leftfield production across the wavey 8-track project.
Speaking about ‘GANG’, Headie said: “GANG is a shared love of music from two people with different backgrounds. The title represents loyalty and friendship, these things are important to me and Fred and I quickly developed this whilst recording the project over the past few months. We feel we really create something special when we’re together.”
Tune into the project below and in more music news, Teeway has unleashed the visuals for his new heater, “Private Ryan”.
