Alex Iwobi’s musical talent is nearly as well documented as his moves on the pitch, and the baller has some bars cooking on the back burner that could hit the soundwaves in the near future.

In an interview with Kiss FM, Iwobi teased an upcoming single and potential music video, speaking about his interests outside of football and music being one of his main passions off the pitch.

When talking about his future music releases, he mentioned rapping with Amadou Onana in the past and how his next project will definitely feature a few familiar names:

"There could be a single, it could be a music video. It’s in the works. I just like to express myself in more ways. Footballers have a lot of time, I like to dip in and out of a few things, and music’s one of them. I like to show people what I do musically.

Collabs? There’s going to be other footballers, I’m sure people have heard me with one of my ex-Everton teammates, Amadou Onana. I’m not going to give away, but there’s more to come.”

With more footballers breaking into the music industry in recent years, anyone could be dropping rhymes on Iwobi’s next track. Rafael Leão and Moise Kean have both made their music debuts, with Leão dropping his first EP under the stage name Way 45 last year. It’s safe to say these ballers are just as cold in the booth as they are on the pitch.

With more players sharing their hobbies outside of football, Iwobi’s new music might just reveal some of the most talented musicians hiding in plain sight. When can we start streaming?
