Three former Lionesses are the cream of the WSL’s crop, with Jill Scott, Anita Asante and Ellen White being inducted into the Women’s Super League Hall of Fame.
Scott and White both ended their careers on a high note, winning the Euros with England before retiring in 2022. Asante retired that same year, with a staggering five league titles and four FA cups solidifying her legacy at Arsenal and in English women’s football.
Scott is mainly heralded for her time at Everton and Manchester City, winning four FA cups during spells at both clubs. White enjoyed time at multiple clubs – Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City to name a few. She retired with two league titles and three FA Cups to her name, and is still the Lionesses top goalscorer.
The three legends were inducted in a ceremony at the National Football Museum in Manchester on Monday night. The trio follow in the footsteps of Karen Carney, Eni Aluko, Kelly Smith and Katie Chapman, who were inducted last year.
