Spotify Blessed AJ Tracey with his Own Mural outside Spurs’ New Stadium
AJ repping by the Lane.
Spotify have unveiled a huge mural of Ladbroke Grove MC AJ Tracey outside the new White Hart Lane stadium in Tottenham.
Spotify patterned up the new piece to celebrate the artist’s 250 million streams on Spotify, with the mural freshly painted after AJ’s self-titled, eponymous debut album. Just under 70% of all streams during the album’s first week taking place on Spotify, which solidified GTraceO’s status as one of the UK’s biggest hitters.
AJ has collaborated with the club on a number of occasions and released “The Lane” and “False 9” which both reference his love for Spurs, and are regularly played in the stadium at half time.
He was understandably hyped with the mural unveiling, telling Spotify, “It’s a blessing, I’m grateful to Spotify for it. Obviously my mum and dad spent time in Tottenham when they were younger so I feel I’ve got a good connection [to the area], everyone knows I rep for the Spurs gang. I used to just spit bars on the block and now obviously, man’s got a big mural and 250 million Spotify streams. I’m chuffed.”
