Liverpool and Netherlands midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has said that he wouldn't hesitate to walk off the pitch if he was racially abused.
Wijnaldum recently spoke out against the abuse Ahmad Mendes Moreira received in the Eredivisie 2, saying the incident “really hit me on a personal level”.
After bagging the first goal of his hat-trick in the Netherland’s 5-0 victory over Estonia, Wijnaldum and team-mate Frenkie de Jong pointed to the colour of their skin to symbolise solidarity against racism.

Now, Wijnaldum has said that he would walk off the pitch should he receive racist abuse while playing: "A lot of people don't understand the pain you feel as a black player if you get [racist] abuse," he said.
"I think everyone should [walk off]. That's the way you support another person, because why should you go on?
"If you go on it will never stop, because the people will think 'OK, we will abuse the player, they will go inside, we will stop a little bit, but they will come outside again, we will play the game, so why should we stop?'," Wijnaldum told CNN Sport.

Wijnladum has been leading the way on and off the pitch for his country, having scored 8 goals in 7 games after scoring a hat-trick whilst wearing the captain's armband in their most recent game agains Estonia.
