Phil Foden is set to sign a new six-year deal at his boyhood club, Manchester City.
The 18-year-old has been drawing attention from top European clubs, but he’s now set to seal a big increase on his current £15,000-a-week deal which runs out in 2020.
City boss Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the newly-capped England Under-21 international, and he’s set it in his sights to secure Foden on a longer-term deal where he will no doubt begin playing a more prominent role in City’s first team.
Foden recently ran the show for City against Oxford United in the Carabao Cup, and is tipped to be one of the country’s biggest talents.
