French sneaker website WAVE linked up with designers Julien Pagès and Mathias Prognon to craft golden boy Kylian Mbappé a pack of custom Nike sneakers, containing a pair of Nike Air Max 270s and a pair of Nike Air Max Plus.
The “KM Pack” has been whipped up just for Mbappé, who was also named the best young player at the tournament.
The Air Max Plus pays homage to the footballer’s birth year, 1998, (the year France won their first World Cup) while the other is the recent Air Max 270, to celebrate France's modern-day success, to celebrate 20 years of national and individual success.
The shoes primarily get dipped in white and accentuated by red and blue flecks on the upper. The Air Max Plus features France's first gold star, symbolizing France’s World Cup win in 1998, while the Air Max 270 features two stars, commemorating this year's success.
The shoes come complete with a dual-chamber box with a transparent top featuring the French flag and “1998 – 2018” emblazoned on the top. Check out the new pack below.
