Nike and the French Football Federation have dropped an ice cold collection for France ahead of the World Cup.

After releasing beautiful collections for England and Nigeria last month, Nike have kept their momentum with a French collection that celebrates the country's strong tradition and brazen future. Crisp designs coupled with sharp detail form a collection that's suitable for the stadium and the streets.

Modelled by two of the stars at the vanguard of France's new generation, Kylian Mbappé and Samuel Umtiti, Les Bleus' match day kits for Russia 2018 is a celebration of the French flag. The iconic blue home kit recreates the tricolor from head to toe, while a sophisticated placket collar carries a button elegantly embossed with the national motto, “Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité.”

If the home kit is a direct celebration of the flag, the away kit serves as its deconstructed counter. At first glance, the shirt appears plain white. However, close inspection reveals a subtle red and blue hyper-speckle knit through the body.

Both shirts also contain custom numbers that celebrate the country’s art deco architecture. Meanwhile, the FFF pre-match attire is highlighted by a warm-up shirt that features the iconic Mariniere blue and white stripe, a design long synonymous with French fashion.

In a final performative touch, as the players line up to sing their national anthem before the start of each game at the tournament, they will unknowingly form their very own tricolore with through evenly distributed red, white and blue anthem pre-game jackets they'll wear as they step onto the pitch.

The 2018 French Football Federation collection is available April 5 on nike.com and at select retailers.
