Kylian Mbappé was front and centre last night to see the Toronto Raptors make history with their first ever NBA title.
The Paris Saint-Germain baller – no stranger to picking up trophies himself – was courtside in Oakland to see the Raptors clinch their maiden NBA title after defeating the Golden State Warriors 114-110 in Game 6.
The World Cup winner was at the NBA's showpiece event of the season, before the league brings a competitive game to his home city of Paris for the first time in 2020.
Speaking exclusively to the NBA about the finals and the game in Paris next year, Mbappé showed a real love for basketball:
"It will be the first regular season game in Paris. I have already requested tickets! It will be amazing...there are so many NBA fans in France, staying up late at night to watch NBA games so to have a ‘home’ game in France is just fantastic.
I have always been a fan of players like LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, James Harden – so I wanted to watch them more and more and follow the game. And I love the whole atmosphere you get at an NBA game.”
We wait and see whether Mbappé will bring the same courtside energy to Paris 2020 that Drake's brought to the 2019 NBA Finals.
