Fresh from putting in arguably his best performance in a Liverpool shirt and one of the best individual performances in world football last night, Mohamed Salah is being rewarded with yet more accolades - but this one is extra special.
Mo is now set to be given a piece of land in the holy city of Mecca according to Fahd Al-Rowky, the vice-president of the local municipality in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Al-Rowky rightly pointed out that the Egyptian is an exemplary ambassador for Islam in the UK, with the move also highlighting support towards young people with huge potential.
Al-Rowky also pointed out that Salah could continue to showcase his renowned generosity were he to be given the land, “Another option, should Salah request it, would be to sell the land and give forward the proceeds.”
The 25-year-old has had an unbelievably prolific and record-breaking first season at Anfield, and has now outscored every other player in Europe.
