Liverpool Women have announced they will be playing at a new home ground next season – Totally Wicked Stadium in St Helens, Merseyside.

The new stadium currently houses St Helens R.F.C, but with the rugby season running from February to September, the Reds will have sole occupancy of the ground for half the season. The club also plans to host a number of fixtures at Anfield as the women’s side continues to grow.

The new stadium sees the capacity increase to 18,000 – an almost 2K increase from the 16,500 seats at Prenton Park. Another major upgrade and a first for the women’s team that comes with the switch in stadium is the Reds’ own bespoke dressing room.

Both parties will benefit from the switch, with the stadium getting a new state-of-the-art pitch before the 2024/25 season kicks off in the autumn.

This season has been full of memorable moments and victories for Liverpool women, including a buzzer-beater win over Chelsea last week. As the team continues to grow in popularity, this new move is just another step upwards for the Merseyside club.
