EA has announced plans to include open world gameplay in future versions of EA FC.

The news was revealed by game developers during a summit surrounding the future of EA games. The inclusion of “virtual, open world playgrounds” is intended to serve as an outlet for creative and self-expression for a changing audience.

The addition of an open world will likely be similar to that of NBA 2K, with the feature first added to the franchise in 2K21 with ‘The City.’

With the gaming landscape constantly changing, the creation of an interactive, communal space within the world of EA FC is an exciting prospect. It gives players the opportunity to transcend borders and languages to connect with each other, similar to football itself. 

When the open world will be added to the game has not been confirmed officially. However, the developers have made headway, and a digital EA FC playground could be coming to consoles in the next few years.
