The National Women’s Soccer League will be integrated into EA SPORTS FIFA 23 for the first time ever later this month.
From March 15th, across every platform, all 12 NWSL teams will be present within Kick Off modes, including: Classic, House Rules and VOLTA. Four NWSL stadiums, along with authentic kits, starheads, trophies and celebrations will also be added to the iconic video gaming franchise.
For EA SPORTS, bringing the United States' topflight women’s game into FIFA 23 furthers its commitment to women's football, and will ultimately provide fans with the opportunity to engage with their favourite players and clubs outside of the regular match day experience.

“The NWSL’s integration into EA SPORST FIFA 23 is a monumental milestone for the leagues, the players and millions of football fans around the world as we continue pushing boundaries for the women’s game,” said Jessica Berman, Commissioner, NWSL.
“The athletes that call the NWSL home are some of the best in the world and we’re excited for the opportunity to further showcase their talent through this unique gaming experience.
"We can’t wait for fans to begin playing and we look forward to continuing this celebration of the players and the league when we kick off our 11th season on March 25th.”
Fans have been able to play as women's club teams with the Barclays FA Women's Super League and Division 1 Arkema since FIFA 23's launch last year - EA SPORTS also announced the imminent inclusion of the UEFA Women's Champions League back in October.
The addition of NWSL soccer to FIFA 23 won't only provide long-term fans of the women's game with the opportunity to play as their favourite ballers, but will also educate casual fans about one of the most progressive leagues ever to exist in the sport.
By the time the Women's World Cup comes around this summer, there won't be a gamer who doesn't know about Washington Spirit's Trinity Rodman or Houston Dash's Ebony Salmon.
The 2023 NWSL season is slated to kick off on Saturday, March 25th, with the opening weekend seeing all 12 teams in action.
