Virgil Abloh's latest collaborative work with Nike is inspired by the sport style of track and field athletes.
At Off-White's recent runway show in Paris, track and field athletes Dina Asher Smith, Vashti Cunningham, Cecilia Yeung, English Gardner, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Nafi Thaim, Caterine Ibarguen and Rénelle Lamote all modelled the new range, which meshed the worlds of style and sportswear together like Off-White's football collection earlier this year.
Speaking about the collection, Abloh said, “Sport, like fashion, shares a common language that seeks to unite cultures, break down barriers and celebrate the power of the human spirit. This season, I was inspired by the voice of the athlete and the power of sport to impact positive and transformative change globally.”
There was also some standout new Nike x Off-White models in the new collection, including the Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite Flyprint, Nike Zoom Fly SP "The Ten," Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit and two conceptual designs based on the Zoom Fly and Waffle Racer silhouettes.
Keep it locked to VERSUS for the release dates for the new sneakers. In related news, Kylian Mbappé also wants his next football boot to be designed by Virgil.
