adidas and Son Heung-Min have joined forces for the South Korean baller’s latest signature F50s.
The F50 ‘TAEGEUK7’ takes inspiration from Son’s home nation of South Korea courtesy of its ‘White/Blue/Red’ colourway, a visual representation of the country’s flag, in particular, the ‘Taegeuki’ emblem at its centre. The red and blue circle symbolises the balance of opposing forces, with red (Yang) and blue (Yin) embodying the complementary aspects of life. The name ‘TAEGEUK7’ itself combines the symbol at the heart of the South Korean flag with Son’s signature jersey number – No.7 – for both club and country.
For this bespoke release, traditional F50 details have been reworked such as switching out the silo’s typical branding for 'SON' wordmarks in both English and Korean. The release also takes on the winger's preferred laceless style, with the sleek slip-on upper contrasted by a blue heel embellished with the iconic Three Stripes motif.
The boots come complete with the F50's trademark technology, made with speed and stability in mind. The lightweight 'Fibretouch' upper is primed for pacy players like Son, with the ‘Sprintframe 360’ soleplate allowing for optimal traction built for movement in all directions.
The adidas F50 TAGEUK7 is available now via adidas and select retailers.
