AS Monaco are switching from Kappa to Mizuno as their official kit provider from the 2025/26 season onwards.
The new five-year deal marks the first time the two entities have crossed paths, and puts an end to the club’s current partnership with Kappa which began in 2019/20. Since 1998, the Ligue 1 side have partnered with five different brands including Nike, Macron, PUMA and adidas, with Mizuno set to become the sixth in July.
The club's teams will be provided with training and match kits, with Mizuno hinting at the release of lifestyle and exclusive product collections. While Kappa set a high bar throughout their six-season stint, there’s no doubt that this new chapter has the potential to raise that to new heights.
The Japanese sportswear brand have made serious ground in the beautiful game lately, going three-for-three with kits for Bundesliga side FC Augsburg this season. They’ve also secured major player boot deals, signing João Félix as an ambassador earlier this year.
Mizuno's serious re-entry to football comes at a time when smaller brands across the game are stepping up. Linking up with one of Ligue 1’s biggest clubs is a statement of intent, and it’s safe to say they’re not stopping anytime soon.
