Mario Balotelli has called out Kanye West's recent comments about slavery, following his recent viral interview with TMZ.

The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker took to Instagram to respond to the 40-year-old musician and designer, saying, "What kind of bulls--t coming out of your mouth? Really? Slavery was by choice? Brother, seriously, who brainwashed you?" Check out his post below.

West's comments have drawn widespread criticism in the pop culture world. He was quoted as saying, "When you hear about slavery for 400 years...for 400 years? That sounds like a choice. You was there for 400 years and it's all of y'all? It's like we're mentally imprisoned."

Balotelli was born to Ghanaian parents and adopted by an Italian family, and his career has been plagued by racist incidents over the years. He felt that he was excluded out of the Italian national team due to his race, and most recently claimed he received racial abuse from Dijon fans during a 3-2 defeat in Ligue 1 in February.
