Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Antonio Brown has become the first professional athlete to officially signed on to Kanye West’s Donda Sports imprint, which has also unveiled more details to their mission statement.

A statement from Kanye West's team said: “Former NFL Pro-Bowler and Super Bowl champion Antonio Brown joins Donda Sports where he will join Ye and Justin LaBoy to bring an athlete’s perspective to all aspects of the organisation. Donda Sports was founded with the vision of providing holistic support to athletes during and beyond their sport’s [sic] career.”

After Kanye features on the cover story of Slam magazine alongside the 'Donda Doves', Donda Sports has expanded on their focus of providing “professional and wellness support” to athletes.

Complete with a strong strapline from Ye himself that reads: “When the game is done, Donda Sports is not done with you,” the statement also unveiled that Donda Sports will operate as "a limitless organization centred on professional and wellness support in equal measure with the ambition to work with athletes across all genders divisions and sports."

The statement also unveiled that Donda Sports will also operate as a full serviced sports brand including sneakers, apparel and more – meaning that Kanye is making a distinct move into the sportswear game.

Speaking about the move himself, Brown said: “I don’t think there’s a lot of fashion lines for athletes, wearing fashionable and comfortable clothes, so with a guy like Kanye West, being able to partner with him and work with him to provide more creative, genius ideas for fashion looks for athletes in general,” the 33-year-old wide receiver said. “I’m just grateful for the opportunity here soon, to share what we’ve got with the world.”
