Several Premier League ballers have backed a new campaign launched by the football agency Unique Sports Management (USM) to raise £100,000 for local communities during the coronavirus crisis.

USM are one of the biggest agencies in the country – representing players like Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Callum Wilson and Reece James – and have pledged £10,000 to #FootballUnited to support the people who need help most right now.

Manchester United right-back Wan-Bissaka, Bournemouth and England striker Wilson, Chelsea full-back James, Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend have all signed up to the scheme and are nominating other ballers to get involved.

Reece James kicked off the campaign at 3pm today and nominated Chelsea teammate Mason Mount, who also looks to be taking part.

The scheme follows Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola making a £920,000 donation to help fight the virus in Spain and Robert Lewandowski and his wife Anna donating €1 million to support efforts against the pandemic.
