The Basement and New Balance are hosting the Basement Cup 2023, bringing back fashion and football’s favourite tournament.

16 teams are set to battle it out in North London on 19 August, but only one will lay claim to the title. Last year’s reigning champions PLACES + FACES will want to defend their crown, but the competition this year is fierce. Everyone is looking to lift some silverware this summer, including VERSUS. Of course, we will be there.

The VERSUS team will be joined on the pitch by some of the biggest brands and platforms shaping UK culture – Aeliza, Always Do What You Should Do, Baietze Squad, BAPE, Clints Inc, EYC, Habitat, P45, Peachy Den, Shabab Intl, Stüssy, Tranzmission FC, and Trapstar will all be fielding squads of seven for a chance at the ultimate prize.

The fun isn’t confined to the pitch, though. The Basement Cup is a family affair, with great food courtesy of Wingstop, music throughout, and games to give everyone something to play for. Spectators can try their hand at zorb-football and crazy mini-golf, with New Balance getting the competition going with exclusive prizes.

The Basement Cup is a free event, open to everyone up to capacity, and will take place at Trent Park Country Club, London, from 12pm-8pm on Saturday 19 August.
