Eddie Hearn is set for crunch talks in New York with Deontay Wilder's team to organize the biggest fight of the year against Anthony Joshua.
WBC champion Wilder wants the unification bout between him and Joshua, having offered AJ a £36million fight deal. But Hearn has insisted that Wilder’s team have yet to bring a concrete offer to the table and has set a three-week deadline to get it sorted out.
Hearn said, "We have two or three weeks to do this. I’m in New York again next week and then those talks can continue. ‘I can’t give them an answer on do we accept their offer until they give me answers on quite a few things – the date and venue for example. That matters to us."
"If it’s in England, then it’s much more likely we would take the fight. Also is there a rematch? What channel is it on? What control do we have? Because AJ has major corporations sponsoring him."
Wilder has recently taken to Instagram to call out AJ to see if he wants the fight, to which the Brit responded: "Let's roll."
