Nico and Iñaki Williams have taken the world of football by storm, and now the brothers’ story has been immortalised in a documentary which premiered at San Sebastian Film Festival.

The film – titled ‘Los Williams’ – follows the obvious footballing themes. Whilst it focuses heavily on their careers so far at Athletic Club de Bilbao, a historic Copa Del rey win and their separate journeys at international level, there is more to this film than meets the eye.

‘Los Williams’ highlights their unique experience as children of Ghanaian immigrants playing in an entirely Basque team. Themes of race and identity undercurrent the energetic football scenes, weaving an intricate and compelling look into the lives of two brothers setting the world alight through football.

Whilst the film has premiered at the Spanish film festival, a general release date has not yet been confirmed.
