A documentary on Jermain Defoe’s life and career is coming to UK cinemas for one night only.
‘DEFOE’ offers a powerful glimpse into the former England striker’s playing days, focusing on key footballing moments and off-pitch events that shaped his playing career and character.
The former Spurs and Portsmouth baller opens up about dealing with grief and finding a renewed purpose in life, brought about by a chance encounter with 6-year-old Bradley Lowery - who sadly passed away in 2017 after battling a rare childhood cancer.
Defoe's relationship with Bradley was one that defined him as a player and a man - and is perhaps his greatest achievement in the game. The Lowery family feature heavily in the documentary along with several of Defoe's friends and former colleagues such as, Harry Redknapp, Peter Crouch, Ghetts, Harry Kane and more.
‘DEFOE’ will land in UK cinemas on February 29 for one night only. Tickets are available to purchase via the ‘DEFOE’ film’s website.
