To mark the end of Umbro’s Centenary celebrations, the iconic British brand assembled the ultimate gathering of fans.
Inspired a Renaissance masterpiece that brought together some of the greatest minds of antiquity, Umbro worked with renowned football-lifestyle photographer, Louis Beaver, to recreate this image using fans and some of the brand’s classic Centenary kits.
Each person involved in the project proudly represented their club alongside fans they would never normally cross paths with – all in an effort to show that the “beautiful game” transcends borders, rivalries and time zones.
Shot in Manchester’s historic Mayfield Depot – a nod to Umbro’s roots – these fans are brought together not just for an advertising campaign but to reproduce a work of art that speaks to anyone and everyone who’s ever watched a game of football.
Through promotions, relegations, impossible comebacks, trophy lifts and iconic (and dud) signings, Umbro is a brand that’s been ever-present, and will continue to be there for the next 100 years.
