Umbro and Milan-based streetwear mavins Slam Jam have collaborated once again for a new capsule inspired by styles seen in the stands and around football pitches.
The second edition of the duo’s ‘Penalty Culture’ collection heavily focuses on outerwear and cold-weather layers. Harrington jackets, contrast-stitch sweatshirts, and soft jumpers are plastered with Umbro’s iconic logo, connecting terrace style in the UK and Italy.
An oversized hoodie arrives in black and dark grey, sandwiched by a grain-textured Umbro logo on the front and back. The simple garment features an integrated mask – complete with small Umbro diamonds, of course – for cold, winter nights at San Siro or the Etihad.
No Autumn/Winter collection is complete without cold-weather essentials – hats and scarves. A split-colour beanie in green and black complements the dark colours of the capsule, whilst a football scarf heavily branded with grainy Umbro logos and the words ‘Penalty Culture’ stands out with citrus yellow words on a black base.
Finally, a football jersey largely inspired by Umbro’s classic ‘90s silhouettes rounds up the collection. Complete with a crisp collar, the kits’ base is a black jacquard with diagonal Umbro diamonds and ‘Penalty Culture’ subtly printed across. Thin, white stripes section the shirt, with ‘Penalty Culture’ and ‘9.15’ taking the central shirt sponsor spot.
The collection is available to purchase on the Slam Jam website.
