Umbro have just launched their latest collection, inspired by one of the most creative corners of their home city, Manchester.

Despite recent collaborations with Supreme and Palace, this collection is a love letter to the brand's roots — digging through their iconic archive for a range of silhouettes synonymous with the mid-to-late ‘90s.

The capsule spans everything from heavyweight tees to zip-off sleeve jackets inspired by England’s 1998 training wear, with football having a real presence across the drop featuring items worn on and off the pitch. One statement piece is the Diamond Drill Sweat, taking inspiration from Umbro's iconic top famously worn by Liam Gallagher at Maine Road in 1996.

The full collection transforms Umbro's past into the present, celebrating where they've come from to where they are now. The accompanying lookbook was shot by local photographer Jay Johnson, spotlighting the Northern Quarter's emerging and diverse community from barbers to vintage store owners.

The Umbro ‘Northern Quarter’ collection is available now via Umbro and selected retailers.
