Umbro's latest boot drop is a release that blends the brand's vintage on-pitch style with the best in modern performance.
While other brands in the football space have been producing "laceless" footwear for the last few seasons, the Umbro Medusae 3 Elite is likely to be the world's first ever pair of leather laceless boots.
Leather boots have always been a core part of Umbro's DNA – with the Speciali an icon on the pitch since 1992 – and the Medusae, with an upper made from K-leather, stays true to this philosophy.
The boot is also Umbro's lightest ever leather boot, weighing just 170 grams. The laceless upper is one large piece of K-leather vamp built to increase the strike area and smooth out a greater surface area of the foot.
The Umbro Medusae Elite 3 is released in a a black, white and marine green colourway, and will be worn on pitch by Pepe and US Women's Team goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris.
The release on October 19th will initially be limited to just 24 pairs per country in tribute to Umbro's foundation in 1924. The boot will then see a general release in early 2019.
The Umbro Medusae 3 Elite will be available on umbro.com.
