The Truth About Stormzy’s “Fake Yeezys” Has Been Revealed

adidas VP Jon Wexler confirms they're "100% real."

November 14th 2017

After shutting down the MTV EMAs, Stormzy, and his footwear became the subject of heated debate.

The Yeezy Mafia, a Twitter account that updates with the latest news on everything adidas and Kanye West-related, posted a screenshot from the south London rapper’s performance, and asked another account, Yeezy Busta, to confirm whether or not the shoes were legit.

The “Beluga 2.0” adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 hasn’t released yet, so it’s fair to say the sneakers are currently in super-limited supply, but with Stormzy being an adidas brand ambassador, it should be fairly obvious he’s unlikely to be rocking fakes.

Jon Wexler, the VP of adidas’ global entertainment & influencer marketing, took to Twitter to confirm the shoes were in fact “100% real.”

The exchange between Yeezy Mafia and Stormzy.

But Jon Wexler confirmed they were real.

Don’t question Stormzy.
