adidas and Germany are celebrating 125 years of the national team with a special-edition jersey.

The anniversary kit is a blast from the past, with the duo unlocking a time capsule to release a retro beauty. Designed in a similar style to the kits Germany wore in the late ‘60s and ‘70s, the shirt arrives in a simple ivory base with a black collar and sleeve cuffs.

Instead of the modern crest that has adorned DFB jerseys for decades now, the kit is embroidered with the federation’s original design from 1900. Updating it for the milestone year, a commemorative ‘125’ is stitched onto the circular badge.

A subtle, jacquard eagle design is woven behind the crest – the perfect finishing touch to an understated masterpiece.

The goalkeeper kit takes on the same design, with the only difference being a baby blue base that nods to the signature colourway Germany’s No. 1 wore in decades past.
