adidas and Arsenal have launched their latest lifestyle capsule, and the duo just dropped one of the hardest garments of the year.

An Arsenal-themed varsity jacket fronts the drop, drawing inspiration from across the pond for a look that is still uniquely North London. Taking the template of U.S. letterman jackets, the red, blue and white number arrived just in time for dropping temperatures and last-minute wishlist updates.

The red base is flanked by contrasting white sleeves in classic varsity fashion. Pulling vintage Arsenal insignia for the retro look, a large, Gothic ‘A’ is stitched onto the chest and the back in navy blue. 

A college-style 1886 patch with a decorative cannon adorns the right sleeve, whilst the Arsenal badge is stitched near the left wrist. adidas has been cooking with the club collections this year, from retro windbreakers to sleek tracksuits, but this jacket might be one of the best drops this season.

The rest of the ‘Varsity’ capsule consists of athleisure staples – A T-shirt, sweatsuit and matching shorts, all with that ‘80s, American university feel.
