adidas have unveiled their latest edition of the COPA Pure III, and it’s a tribute to an icon of the past.

The Three Stripes have been riding the nostalgia wave for a minute now, driven forward by the success of the Predator’s regeneration. Now, they’ve doubled down with their latest COPA — arriving in the aesthetic of the adiPure 11Pro from 2015.

Made iconic by Toni Kroos, the 11Pro grew a cult following thanks to the midfielder’s loyalty — sticking with it ever since its initial release in 2013. 11 years later, he retired having won it all, leaving a legacy few could match, so it was only right that adidas renamed it the ‘TKPro’.

Now, it makes a return, but only by design. Celebrating 10 years since the boot’s 2015 edition, the look from that year cloaks the silhouette of the COPA Pure III — combining the past with the present for some of the cleanest boots in the game right now.

As expected, the iconic ‘Solar Blue’ stripe dissects the boot's white base, wrapping its way around the boot from the toe box to its ‘Comfort Frame’ soleplate. As for detailing, the 11Pro’s wordmark is replaced by '11Pure', with the black Three Stripes accentuated by fine blue detailing and a UCL logo stamped on the insole as it was in 2015.

Like the 11Pro, the COPA is built for ballers who conduct the pitch. The Pure III offers up new technology that raises the bar in build quality, with its FORMFIT construction and FUSIONSKIN upper providing everything you need to play with optimised comfort. While this release sees no updates bar the aesthetic, that alone is enough to take your game to another level and do so in style.

The adidas COPA Pure III is available to purchase now online via adidas and other select retailers.
