Spain Women teased an RFEF x adidas Y-3 tracksuit ahead of their friendly against Italy earlier this week, sparking rumours of an upcoming collaboration.
The black adidas tracksuits featured the RFEF crest and Y-3 logo, with an oversized collar serving as a stylish upgrade to Spain’s usual pre-match attire.
A Spain x Y-3 link-up would be the brand’s third adidas Football range in 2024, following on from their Real Madrid and Japan releases. However, this would be the first capsule designed exclusively for a women’s team.
Earlier this year, the adidas Y-3 collaboration with Japan outfitted both the women’s and men’s national teams for the first time. The highly-coveted jerseys and lifestyle garments debuted on Yohji Yamamoto’s SS25 Paris runway back in June before going to market a month later.
Yamamoto’s football designs merge fashion and sport flawlessly, tying in cultural motifs and eye-catching imagery to every piece of apparel – flames for Japan and flowers for Real Madrid.
The Spain collaboration has not been officially announced yet, but judging by past collections, these kits are set to be as iconic as the team wearing them.
