adidas has unveiled the new official UEFA Women’s Champions League match ball ahead of the tournament's knockout stages.

The ball features a striking design paying homage to the hosts of this year’s final – Lisbon. The white and blue base is accented by geometric designs inspired by the Portuguese capital’s azulejos – intricately painted ceramic tiles that decorate buildings throughout the city.

This season’s match balls have been the most sustainable adidas has ever produced, made using recycled polyester and water-based ink. In addition, each layer of the ball features eco-friendly materials such as corn fibres, sugar cane, wood pulp and rubber.

Despite the change in materials, the Three Stripes didn’t skimp on the tech. A debossed surface allows for improved precision and aerodynamics, whilst an outer texture coating offers secure grip and complete control. A CTR-CORE within the ball is fine-tuned for accuracy and consistency, supporting fast, precise play with maximum shape and air retention.

The new UWCL match ball is available to purchase now on the adidas website and select retailers.
