British boxing's next big thing Joshua Buatsi has just linked up with Nike to launch a new Croydon-based incentive that will help the next wave of talent from his hometown follow in his footsteps.

The Nike Training Camp Croydon has been set up by Buatsi and Nike to give local residents the chance to take part in a unique 16-week training camp that will offer official Level 3 PT qualification when completed. It’s the first time Nike have ever awarded the qualification, which has been specifically set up to find the area’s next generation of aspiring athletes and coaches.

The qualification has been designed for ambitious, Croydon-based talent by a local hero who is already well on his way to achieving greatness. The Croydon Boxing Academy, where Buatsi honed his craft, will serve as the base for the course. You'll need to be fitness and training obsessed to take part, with the camp lead by four of Nike’s master trainers and Buatsi himself – who will all be putting participants through their paces.

The course is free for anyone who lives in or around Croydon to take part in – as long as you can demonstrate a passion for health and fitness and are willing to enter coaching as a career following the completion of the Nike Training Camp. Applications are open now, and 50 people will begin the programme at the start of 2019.

Sign up for the Nike Training Camp Croydon by filling out the form here. Applications close on December 10th.
